Tunnel kilns

CERIC Technologies has developed 2 types of tunnel kilns to answer the different firing conditions of the clay products:

  • Casing kiln: it is the most widespread tunnel kiln which main characteristics are modularity, construction rapidity and optimal tighteness for a better firing control.
  • Gantry kiln: It is the solution suited to high temperature firings or with specific raw material.

With more than 400 tunnel kilns installed throughout the world, CERIC Technologies has acquired a reputation of performance, reliability and quality thanks to the Casing kiln.

 

Kiln cars

Since many years, CERIC Technologies  has been designing kiln cars in partnership with the best refractory suppliers.

One shall focus on the decrease of the thermal inertia of the kilns by using ecological and innovative materials (bio-soluble fibers), and on the longevity of the materials used.

CERIC Technologies has also developed its own kilns technology using different layers of insulating concrete, which is the most economical solution in terms of investment and maintenance.

 

Equipment- Process

The definition of the firing process is an essential part concerning the operation of a kiln and the products quality.

CERIC Technologies attaches much importance to the design of the kilns equipment, which  very often determines the global performance of the installation and the reduction of the energy consumption.

CERIC Technologies also recommends the use of new energies (lean gas, biogas, sawdust…), and offers alternating solutions adapted to each product.
