The different step of preparation

The raw material treatment, also known as heavy clay preparation, is the first step to the clay products manufacture process.

Heavy clay preparation is as follows:

• Elimination of foreign matters in the clay (metals, stones, roots…),
• Constituents proportioning (clay, sand, additions…),
• Reduction of clay lumps size by crushing or grinding up to the required particle size distribution,
• Materials mix up to obtaining an homogeneous and plastic paste that will be stretched and shaped or moulded for the manufacture of soft mud bricks.

 The dimensioning of the installations is essential for the success of a project.
