BGC is a Western Australia based group of companies (Perth area) with interests in residential and commercial building, civil engineering construction, road transport and construction products manufacture.
Mr Len Buckeridge’s strategy (the Executive Chairman) has propelled BGC to become one of Australia's largest privately owned group of companies.
In 2007 BGC has signed with Ceric Australia a contract for the production of one of the largest brick plant in Australia: 2 production lines, multi-suppliers.
Ceric offers its services and substantial experience in product and kilncar handling, the 2 Anjou dryers, the 3 Casing kilns and the related computerized supervision.
The facing brick production line is supplying a tunnel kiln which is regulated and controlled by our Ceric supervision devices. The firing cycle of the products is of 44 hours in the Casing kiln N°2. The rest of the line equipments comes from various foreign plants that had been bought directly by BGC.
The brick production line is supplying 2 Anjou dryers with a Tecauma handling. Firing cycle is 22 hours in the Casing kiln n°1 and n°3.
The production of bricks and facing bricks started in November 2008 (1st brick on November 11st 2008). The second kiln started on December 24th 2008 and the third and last on October 10th 2009.
Thanks to these equipments, BGC will be able to commercialize 110.000.000 standard bricks per year once the mass production will be reached with the 3 identical kilns installed.
A standard perforated brick approximatively weighs 2.8 kg, which corresponds to a daily production of av. 850 tons.
This new high capacity production center will give BGC the opportunity to flood the western Australian market and then take over the leadership in terms of production of clay building materials.
BGC will then use their own building materials for the building and expansion of the residential parks they are developing.
